It's about our team!
More than 45 incredibly talented employees make up our team at Sue Kolve's Salon and Day Spa, who continually train and hone their skills to bring our clients the highest quality salon and spa services available. Team members regularly attend training throughout the country, including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Chicago, and participate in on-site seminars conducted by leading industry professionals including Chris Baran, Redken's Global Education Artistic Director. Several of our employees are Redken Certified Color Specialists, an achievement only attained by 20% of salon professionals. Our massage therapists are nationally certified and our aestheticians professionally trained in the Bioelements (R) skin care system.
Who is Sue Kolve?
Sue Kolve owns three businesses in the La Crosse area: Sue Kolve's Salon and Day Spa, The Salon Professional Academy, and The Studio by Sue Kolve. Sue opened her first salon, Sue Kolve's Hair Studio, in 1985 with 300 clients and no employees. Celebrating 27 years in business in 2012, Sue has traveled throughout the world as a Redken Professional Artist teaching other industry professionals the principles of salon business, design and color. She has worked as a stylist behind the scenes and on main stage for numerous hair shows and continually strives to grow the salon and spa industry. Sue Kolve's Salon & Day Spa™ is one of Redken's Club 5th Avenue Elite Salons, a status the salon has maintained for more than a decade. When Sue opened her new location, the business was also selected as a 2003 Salon of Distinction by Modern Salon magazine.
A native of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Sue is committed to our community, supporting several local charities with her time and efforts. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Riverfront and is a member of the State of Wisconsin Cosmetology Board. In September 2006, Sue opened The Salon Professional Academy, a Redken affiliated salon training center and in June of 2011 The Studio by Sue Kolve, the first of its kind in La Crosse bar concept salon.
